Quality Engineer / Quality Controller - Medical Devices : Essex : Quality Engineer / Quality Controller

This internationally recognised organisation is one of the leading producers and suppliers of theatre and surgical instruments. Due to recent growth and expansion they now have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Engineer / Quality Controller to join their dynamic team.

As the Quality Engineer / Controller, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality Control and Quality Assurance area of the warehouse, maintenance of the technical files and ensuring materials specifications are accurate. Other duties within this role will involve:

- Maintaining and developing the company technical files to ensure they contain all the necessary, correct and current information.
- Developing and maintaining the QA testing systems to ensure the products meet the specifications
- Maintaining the quality standards library
- Working with the quality manager to manage adverse incidents with competent authorities

The suitable candidate will ideally be educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant discipline. Previous experience of working within a Quality Control position working with medical devices to ISO 13485 standards is essential. You will also have experience of auditing and producing and maintaining technical files.
